What is Gyproc DriWall Adhesive suitable for? It is used for dot and dab applications to bond plasterboard to masonry walls, ensuring a level surface for plastering or decorating.
How do I prepare the Gyproc DriWall Adhesive mix? Add 13.5-14.5 litres of clean, fresh, cold water per 25 kg bag into a clean mixing bucket. Gradually add the powder and mix until smooth.
Do I need to prepare the area before applying the adhesive? Yes, ensure the background is clean and dry. Use water or Thistle GypPrime for suction control if needed.
How do I apply the adhesive? Apply dabs in a regular pattern, ensuring a minimum contact area of 20% between the board and background. Use a continuous fillet around the perimeter for optimum airtightness.
What is the working time for this product? The working time is approximately 90 minutes.
How long does it take for the adhesive to set? It takes a minimum of 2 hours to set, but it is recommended to leave it for 3-6 hours until fully set.
How much adhesive will I need? A 25 kg bag is suitable for two 1200x2400 mm plasterboards under normal conditions.
