The Kingspan Kooltherm K107 Pitched Roof Board provides superior thermal insulation, reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency in buildings. Its lightweight and easy-to-install design make it ideal for both new constructions and retrofits.
• Application: Suitable for use in tiled or slated pitched roofs, dwarf walls, attic floors, dormer windows, and flat ceilings.
• Retrofitting: These insulation boards can be easily retrofitted when converting an attic without the need for re-roofing.
• Efficient Installation: The boards are easy to cut and handle, ensuring an efficient installation process.
• Thinness: One of the thinnest commonly used insulations for pitched roofs, allowing you to achieve U-values with minimal thickness.
• Sagging Resistance: Kooltherm K107 is not susceptible to sagging over time.
• Energy Savings: The low emissivity foil facing reduces heat loss through the roof, potentially saving on energy costs.

What is phenolic insulation? Phenolic insulation, like our Kooltherm range, is the most thermally efficient insulation commonly used. It consists of a rigid thermoset foam core sandwiched between two facing elements, such as a low emissivity composite foil. Choosing phenolic insulation allows you to achieve low target U-values with minimal insulation thickness.
How is Kooltherm made? Kooltherm’s rigid thermoset foam forms an insulating core between two facing elements. Wet foam insulation mix is added to the bottom layer of facing, which expands to meet the top layer. As it dries, the foam bonds to the facings, resulting in the insulation boards.
Difference between Kooltherm and Therma? Kooltherm is the thinnest commonly used insulation board for specific U-values. Therma is a range of PIR insulation boards, not as thermally efficient as Kooltherm.
What is the U-value of Kingspan insulation? U-value represents the insulating effectiveness of a building element (e.g., roof, wall, or floor). Our technical team can calculate the U-value for your project based on specific details.
