Powerbond Butyl Tape is a high-performance, double-sided adhesive tape designed for sealing applications in construction, particularly for use with Powerlon Membranes. It ensures effective air, vapour, and water-tight seals, enhancing the overall performance of building envelopes.
• Double-Sided Adhesive
Facilitates secure jointing and overlapping of Powerlon Membranes, including Ultrablock, Vapour Control Layers (VCLs), and Air Barrier.
• Temperature Resistance
Operates effectively within a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, suitable for various climatic conditions.
• Installation Conditions
Best applied within an installation temperature range of +4°C to +35°C. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease and oil for optimal adhesion.

How is Powerbond Butyl Tape applied? Clean and dry the surfaces to be bonded, apply the tape to one surface, press the two surfaces together, and ensure a strong bond. For overlapping membranes, a continuous double row of tape spaced 75 mm apart is recommended.
